A company built around cellular energy.
Mitozz is the consumer health brand of FMG Health Sciences, translating mitochondrial research into practical products, education, and future therapeutic development.
Our work brings together scientific research, clinical experience, and product development to help people better understand and support the cellular systems behind energy, resilience, and healthy aging.
A simple question led us back to the cell.
Why do so many people who are "doing all the right things” still feel low on energy?
The deeper we looked, through personal experience, conversations with clinicians and athletes, and years of study, the more we kept coming back to one place: the cell’s ability to produce and manage energy.
We focus on mitochondria because they sit at the crossroads of how the body performs, adapts, and recovers. Their function is one part of the broader biology behind energy, resilience, recovery, and aging.
If you want lasting energy, you need to support the systems that produce it.
For us, that means translating complex biology into clear education and developing products and tools designed to fit real life.
The principles that shape our work.
These values guide how we approach research, product development, education, quality, and the people we serve.
Evidence-led decisions
We prioritize high-quality research, plausible biological mechanisms, and relevant real-world evidence over headlines and trends.
Transparency
We aim for clear labeling, clear rationale, and responsible communication about what our products are designed to do.
Clarity over complexity
We translate complex science into practical, plain-English information people can understand and use.
Quality without shortcuts
We hold a high standard for ingredients, manufacturing, testing, and product consistency.
Long-term thinking
We focus on resilience, consistency, and repeatable habits rather than quick-fix promises.
Community-informed improvement
We listen, measure, review feedback, and improve based on observed needs rather than assumptions.
Meet the founders.
Mitozz is led by experienced scientific, medical, and executive leadership working together to translate mitochondrial research into practical applications.
Mani Agrawal, docteur ès sciences
Co-fondateur et directeur généralMani Agrawal is a scientist-entrepreneur and global executive with decades of experience in operational leadership, international business development, consulting, and regulatory oversight. His career has extended across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
His previous positions include President of Dastur International in Germany, founder of Cognizant’s European consulting practice, Chief Scientist at Manugistics, now Blue Yonder, and consultant with McKinsey & Company in Chicago.
His path to FMG Health Sciences was also personal. Following a brain tumor diagnosis in 2014, he began examining health through the combined lenses of sleep, movement, stress management, yoga, meditation, and cellular energy. The tumor was later determined to be benign, and subsequent imaging showed a reduction in its volume.
The experience changed how he viewed the relationship between conventional medical care, personal agency, and systems-level approaches to health. That perspective contributed directly to the creation of FMG Health Sciences, with Mitozz becoming its first practical consumer application.
Understanding mitochondria changed how I think about health. Once you see how central they are to cellular energy, it's difficult to look at health the same way again.
Mani’s role is to connect scientific research with product development, manufacturing, regulatory work, and international operations. His view is that Mitozz should complement medical care, giving people a clearer understanding of mitochondrial health and more informed questions to bring into conversations with healthcare professionals.
Guillermo Ceballos, docteur en médecine, docteur ès sciences
Co-Founder and Chief Science OfficerDr. Guillermo Ceballos leads the scientific foundation behind Mitozz. He is a highly published researcher in epicatechin biology, with more than 275 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
His work has contributed to the understanding of the molecular pathways through which epicatechin interacts with physiology. His research spans vascular biology, endothelial function, oxidative stress, mitochondrial signaling, and biomarkers associated with metabolic and age-related conditions.
My research into epicatechin, obesity, aging, and mitochondrial pathways reinforced one central conclusion: maintaining healthy mitochondrial function is fundamental to overall health.
His research examines how cellular energy systems respond to stress and recovery as interconnected biological networks, rather than as isolated pathways. This perspective is central to the Mitozz approach. Mitochondria are treated not simply as cellular power sources, but as dynamic participants in adaptation, resilience, and metabolic flexibility.
Dr. Ceballos has also served as an editor and reviewer for scientific journals including The Open Nitric Oxide Journal, European Journal of Pharmacology, Experimental Medicine, and The American Journal of Physiology: Heart and Circulatory Physiology.
Francisco Villarreal, docteur en médecine, docteur ès sciences
Co-fondateur et directeur médicalDr. Francisco Villarreal shapes the medical and translational direction of Mitozz. He is an internationally recognized physician-scientist and the author of more than 130 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
His early research examined cardiac remodeling and fibrosis, including the mechanical and molecular processes that influence the structure and function of the heart. His work later expanded into pharmacological strategies intended to protect the heart from ischemic injury.
More recently, his research has included epicatechin and its relationship to cellular stress responses and bioenergetic function across multiple organs.
Healthy mitochondria help cells remain energized. That energy supports the body’s ability to adapt, recover, and function. This is the reason Mitozz was created.
His career includes both preclinical and clinical research connecting molecular pathways with cardiovascular health, exercise performance, metabolism, and recovery. He has received numerous scientific awards and has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, published by the International Society for Heart Research.
